No — branching creates a new path alongside the existing one. The original blocks and context stay exactly where they were.

Can I go back and check where a piece of information came from?+

Yes — every block links back to its source, so you can trace any concept or claim back to the document, page, or note it was drawn from.

What's the difference between editing a block and regenerating it?+

Editing changes the text directly. Regenerating asks the AI to produce a new version of that block — useful when the direction is right but the execution isn't.

Do collaborators need an account to view my canvas?+
